We are ShipMonk, and we provide logistics services in order fulfillment. Our main business is in the USA, but our modern platform is built by the Product Development team in Prague.                                                                                                                                                                                    Here at ShipMonk, we process up to 100,000 orders per day in our peak season. Our book of business has more than 1,500 clients, which are small and medium e-shops, mostly based in the US. We offer the ShipMonk platform as the solution for the whole process. It covers everything from stocking the items to shipping the ready packages to all corners of the world!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to build the Merchant Data Catalogue (MDC) - the data product at the heart of how thousands of merchants understand their logistics. You'll turn fragmented logistics backend data into a single, standardized, client-ready format that lets merchants answer real questions. The MDC is the data foundation our AI insights platform is built on, so you'll be designing the models and processes the rest of the stack depends on.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, test, and run the pipelines and models behind the MDC.

  • Take full ownership of the data product surface, from schema design to day-to-day health.
  • Surface the MDC through ShipMonk Insights (self-service analytics) so merchants can drill into their own KPIs.
  • Unlock novel data products - supplier insights, velocity insights, or inventory optimization - by giving them a trustworthy customer-facing model to build on.
  • Enforce data contracts so backend changes never break the client-facing layer.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on SQL and Python experience. We care more about drive than tenure.

  • Experience with the modern data stack (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake) and BI tooling.
  • A track record of building data products, not just maintaining existing ones.
  • A self-starter who wants to understand the business and the people using the data - you spot what merchants need and build for it.

Your team and stakeholders

For now you will be in tandem with our Jana. She is an experienced go to person for our company leadership. In future you will also have other colleagues since we plan to scale this domain.

Why should you apply?

  • You will attend our beautiful Karlín Offices with free snacks, grill parties and many educational events.

  • High autonomy from the start – no waiting for perfect tasks, you’ll own problems and solve them.
  • We give you room to experiment, fail fast, and learn quickly.
  • You will work in a small, tight team – your impact will be visible from the beginning.
