Country Manager E-Commerce

We are looking for an experienced Country Manager E-Commerce, who will be responsible for the online business in the Czech and Slovak Republic.

This new position in Tchibo offers the unique oportunity to develop strategic and tactical business plans with the expert team leaders for the online channels to support the global e-commerce & country strategy. Country Manager E-Commerce will be focused on development of the customer base and the overarching management/coordination of campaign and sales activities and define the goals for the online channels.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing online growth and margin through effective promotional & sales activities for CZ/SK countries.
  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team (located in DE), supporting the eCommerce strategy.
  • Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects.
  • Generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase eCommerce sales and profitability.
  • Monitoring and managing the customer planning and development.
  • Preparing and presenting/ providing ongoing online sales and budget planning as well as sales forecasts.
  • Creating, providing and managing sales and marketing plans; demonstrating specific activities to bridge gaps to budget and forecast.
  • Defining targets for online channels (Newsletter/ Push, Performance MKT, Onsite/ App).
  • Overarching coordination of campaigns, managing advertising and sales activities as well as channel related country specific tasks.
  • Main contact for operational e-commerce business and country requirements for HQ in Hamburk and local teams.

Appropriate background and qualification:

  • College/University degree in Business Administration (or comparable) preferably with focus on e-commerce and/or marketing.

  • At least 5 years work experience in a comparable business environment (e.g. online pure player, multichannel enterprise).
  • Commercially astute with a proven track record of profitable growing online sales.
  • Leadership of direct/indirect subordinates required.
  • Strong understanding of growth drivers and competitive dynamics within e-commerce and digital marketing in the specific country.
  • Operational understanding of financial frameworks and financial planning with demonstrated strong business judgment and customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and articulate the highest impact initiatives.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Highly desired: Successfully worked in country/HQ matrix organizations before.
  • Fluent in Czech/Slovak and English (German language skills would be an advantage).
  • To be ready and flexible to travel.
