The Global Demand Planner is responsible for the planning and inventory management, which supports the whole organization, as well as enables the availability of goods for the different warehouses.

This role has the responsibility for inventory planning, forecasting and optimization of inventory cost. 

TASKS INCLUDE: 

  • Create and carry out product demand plans in order to meet organizational objectives
  • Monitor inventory levels at all warehouses to ensure adequate supply while maximizing service level and identifying excess inventory risk
  • Conduct monthly forecasting to suppliers
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Identify periods when it may be necessary to buy supplemental product or place a product on allocation, and facilitate quick resolution of the issue
  • Inform management and the sales team about product availability
  • Optimization and development of the planning tools
  • Collaborate with R&D, Project Managers, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales& Operations, in developing forecasts for new items, promotions, and end of life items
  • Mentor and train other Planners as needed

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedure
  • Experience working with ERP systems – specifically inventory and purchasing modules
  • Experience of IFS is meritorious
