Your Role & Responsibilities
As our Chief Accountant, you will work closely with our VP of Finance, lead our Accounting team (3-5 members) and oversee the company’s financial operations. Your mission is to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while driving process improvements and automation.

You will
- Lead and mentor the Accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Own the entire closing process (monthly, quarterly, yearly) from A to Z, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Rossum’s accounting policies, as well as tax regulations (VAT, WHT, CIT), and consolidated financial reporting requirements.
- Be the primary point of contact for external auditors, payroll providers, and tax consultants.
- Drive and coordinate statutory and group audits in a timely manner.
- Partner with the VP of Finance on accounting and tax strategy, including transfer pricing policy.
- Optimize and safeguard free cash, prepare Cash Flow Actual and Forecast Reports.
- Process external payments weekly and ensure proper cash flow management.
- Help to further automate our financial processes within our ERP system (NetSuite) and/or other tools to improve efficiency.
- Continuously improve existing accounting procedures and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Contribute to strategic financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
This role is for you if you
- Have previous experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Chief Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
- Have a proven track record of leading and coaching accounting teams.
- Possess in-depth understanding of IFRS and financial accounting principles, including consolidation.
- Have experience with month-end and year-end closing, tax compliance and financial reporting.
- Are proficient in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Have an eye for detail but can also see the bigger picture.
- Have excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build relationships across departments and engage with people at all levels both internally and externally.
- Have a hands-on, curious, and proactive mindset: you ask questions, solve problems, and never stop learning.
- Are fluent in English (Czech and other languages are a plus but not required).

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have
- Experience with SaaS or recurring revenue models.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or similar accounting software).
- A passion for working in a fast-paced, evolving scale-up environment.
